YES Visit to Northern Ireland
Colm Gribben invited me to Northern Ireland to install a domestic Reedbed system. Meeting with Colm and John the digger driver, was great fun. John couldn't have been more helpful.
When it came to watering the beds he used his bucket to lift water from the ditch onto the Reedbed.
Of course meeting with Colm and his wife Dorothy and friends entailed sampling the social environment of Newry.
As you can see by the faces, this was work we took very seriously indeed.
We flew from Leeds Bradford with Jet2.com, for £19 to Belfast and £25 back to Leeds. The journey took 35 minutes. This seems quite fantastic. As we didn't have a contact for reeds in Northern Ireland, we carried 30 plants in our hand luggage. We needed a letter from HM customs that it was OK to carry grass to Northern Ireland.
