The aim of Yorkshire Ecological Solutions is to utilize natural systems, to allow humans to live more in balance with Nature, rather than engineering against it. Natural systems can be appropriate, cost effective, low maintenance and long lasting. They can be built at the Local Community / Authority level, making use of local skills, labour, goods and services. These systems are currently being built throughout England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Jersey, Republic of Ireland, Poland, and The Czech Republic.

Through the wonders of the internet, it was discovered that there were 2 Melvyn Rutters. The other Melvyn Rutter runs the Morgan Company in Essex.
You may notice we share the same hair style. We each run businesses that are not run of the mill companies. Added to this, both our families and friends said there could only be one. But now its official There Are Two.
Perhaps there was an experiment into genetic engineering back in the 1950'S, and perhaps there are yet more out there, waiting to take over the world.
Administration Elizabeth Holliday. Director YES Ltd
Elizabeth Holliday works on the accounts, and ordering of goods, materials and labour. She often answers the telephone, and can be a good source of information about the business, as she has to live with it daily.
Elizabeth's other occupations are with St John Ambulance, and has run the Morley Brigade for many years. Elizabeth has been invested as A Serving Sister of The Order of St John, in a ceremony on London, in September of this year ( 2005 ), and has 35 years of service to St John, a rare achievement in these days. Elizabeth also works in administration for the Leeds General Infirmary.

Elizabeth has been involved, over the past 30 years, in Stage Management and Lighting of Amateur Dramatic Productions. She also makes groovy Rock & Roll shirts for my stage performances.
We have sponsored the following people in their endeavors.
We sponsored the strip for the football team from our pub, The Carriers. Problem with this is you only see our web site name when they turn round. Still, it was a good learning curve.
So we sponsored our friend Michaela, who is into Kick Boxing.
Finally in 2006, we sponsored Twinny and William
These delightful creatures do bring enjoyment to many visitors. The message is getting across, of how we all need to find alternate methods of resourcing lifestyles that don't cost The Planet.
Good Science in Schools Project 2007
We will begin 2007 by sponsoring a Good Science in Schools Project, in association with The Joseph Priestley Society. The aim is to award certificates and prizes to 10 groups, or individuals, who complete science projects, with an environmental theme, by the end of May, 2007. The award ceremony will be a media event, during the first week of July.
This year will pilot this event. We hope to offer this award to a wider region in future years. We will let you know how well this works.
Why YES Ltd and Melvyn Rutter Reedbed Business ?
The reason for having YES Ltd is to operate as a company, with other companies that we work with. We have worked with companies such as Heinz, Bernard Mathews, Network Rail. They prefer to work with a company structure, and YES Ltd provides them with this structure.
Melvyn has operated as a sole trader when working on Reedbeds and other projects for the past 10 years. Currently all small Reedbed Systems are built by Melvyn and not YES Ltd. This arrangement reduces the need for Melvyn, sole trader, to be VAT registered, thereby keeping the price down for the private individual.
